Artisan Bakers of Sonoma celebrates its 14th anniversary in 2006. Since opening its doors in 1992, the bakery has continued to develop and produce the finest breads and pastries in the Bay area. During these years, Artisan Bakers has been awarded many top prizes for its baked goods, including several Best in Show awards at the Sonoma County Harvest. Fair. Craig has spent much time training all of the bakers to uphold Artisan Bakers quality standards. Craig’s teaching team shares his same passion for baking and will share their passions with all participants of the baking classes. Founder Craig Ponsford graduated from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco with top honors, the worked in some of the Bay Area’s best bread bakeries. Craig’s breads won the Gold Medal in Paris when he competed with the Bread Bakers Guild Team USA in the prestigious Coupe du Monde de la Boulangerie in 1996.
