Artisan Bakers was founded in 1992 in Sonoma’s wine country, where we began crafting artisan breads for the region’s finest restaurants and markets. From the start, our bakery focused on authentic sourdough, traditional methods, and the craft of real breadmaking. We believe great bread brings people together — a tradition of human connection and culinary craftsmanship you can taste in every bite.

Over three decades, we’ve grown from a local California bakery into a trusted national artisan bread partner serving retailers, club stores, and foodservice customers across the country — all while staying true to our handcrafted roots.

In 2023, we expanded production to a 60,000-square-foot facility in West Sacramento, allowing us to meet growing demand with consistent quality, efficiency, and reliability. Today, we support nearly 200 American jobs and operate with the high standards our partners expect from a premium wholesale bakery.

We are proudly USDA Organic, Upcycled, and RSPO, reflecting our commitment to sustainable baking practices, clean ingredients, and responsible sourcing. Our capabilities include private label baking, R&D development, custom formulations, and contract baking solutions tailored to the needs of retailers and national brands.
